Cleveland Artists Foundation
Cleveland's Center for Regional Art
"Accompanied by catalogs with fresh observations by scholars and researchers, the foundation's exhibitions are building awareness of the region's greatest achievements in the visual arts in the 20th century. That's an essential service-and at the moment, no other institution in the city is doing it as consistently, or as well." --Steven Litt, Plain Dealer Art Critic
Cleveland Artists Foundation will be closed on Friday, January 1. Happy New Year!

The Collection

CAF’s collecting mission originally focused primarily on a group of artists known as the "Cleveland School" who were active from 1900-1950. Over the past several years, CAF has broadened its historical scope to integrate the contributions of artists who were active before and since the "Cleveland School." In particular, CAF now devotes attention to the achievements of the most significant artists in Northeast Ohio whose period of productivity has encompassed all or part of the past 50 years.
